Object Edge Wins Modern CX Hackathon

Object Edge was announced the winner of the Modern CX Hackathon yesterday at Oracle Modern Customer Experience 2018.

Object Edge is a new team to the “Hack a Smarter Customer Experience” competition, and Roger Rohatgi, Creative Director for Object Edge, says the inspiration for their solution “hits home” for the team. The solution seeks to help children with autism, like Roger’s son, by providing helpful reminders and encouragement. Watch the winner announcement and speech by Roger in the video below.

The Modern CX Hackathon took place on March 28 and 29, 2018, where four teams utilized Oracle products to “hack” or create an experience in only 48 hours. This is the second Hackathon competition of its kind, hosted by Oracle.

Hackathon teams included Fishbowl Solutions, the winner of the first Hack a Smarter Customer Experience which took place in September 2017. This time, Fishbowl Solutions sought to create a solution to manage office vending machines.

TAISTech, also new to Hack a Smarter Customer Experience, hacked a “dressing room 2.0” solution.

The runner up of the Modern CX Hackathon was zDophinCloud, a team of one — Christina Jing Hu, Chief Solution Architect of zDolphinCloud, who was also the competition’s only female hacker. zDolphinCloud hacked a solution to assist cancer patients, and at the Modern CX Hackathon judging, Christina announced that there’s already a version of the solution in the market.
