Calling All Hackers: Oracle Hosts Second “Hack a Smarter Customer Experience” Event

On March 28 and 29th, Oracle is hosting its second two-day “Hack a Smarter Customer Experience” event at the Oracle Headquarters in Redwood Shores, CA.

The biannual event challenges developers to create a unique use case using Oracle Customer Experience SaaS technology and an Oracle PaaS component. Use cases will solve a business problem in one or more of the following categories:

• Customer loyalty solutions
• User experiences, i.e.: unique UIs, chatbots, augmented reality, voice
• Connected experiences, i.e.: connecting end users’ data, devices, solutions

Technologies available to the hackathon participants include:

• Oracle Loyalty Cloud
• Oracle Engagement Cloud
• Oracle Mobile Cloud Service with Intelligent Bots
• Metered Cloud Service (Java, JavaScript, Database)
• Oracle Marketing Cloud
• Oracle Internet of Things Applications
• Oracle Big Data Cloud
• Oracle Content and Experience Cloud
• Oracle Visual Builder Cloud
• Oracle Blockchain Cloud

Hackathon participants will also have in-person access to Oracle product management A-Team experts.

Participants will be judged on execution and demonstration, and the winners will be announced in a live judging session at Oracle’s Modern Customer Experience 2018 conference in Chicago, April 10-12, 2018.

Oracle hosted its first “Hack a Smarter Customer Experience” event in September, and live judging took place in the CX Showcase at Oracle OpenWorld in October. The winner, Fishbowl Solutions, used Oracle Intelligent Bots and Slack to chat and voice-enable Oracle Engagement Cloud, and built a machine learning pricing engine using Oracle Big Data Cloud Service to augment the quoting process. This solution optimized prices based on success or failure of previous quotes and the products and customer attributes of those quotes.
